Lieber Erik und andere Masters,
ich habe mit Zsuzsa Kovacs, die Ausrichter der WM 2010 in Györ aufgrund Ihre Ausschreibung gesprochen.
Leider sind einige Fehler in diese Ausschreibung eingeschlichen, was ich mit Ihr besprochen habe. Bitte diese Korrektur zur Kenntnis zu nehmen.
Die AK 70+ leider vergessen wurde von der Meldeliste. Selbstverständlich wird eigene Wertung für diese AK bei der WM 2010 vorhanden sein.
Die AK 60+wird den Wettkampf in den organischen Disziplien, wie in Copenhagen bei der EM der Fall war, also 50m Schwimmen und 1.000 m Laufen absolvieren.

Dear friends
I have today received the invitation to PÉCS, Hungary to the second competition this year in the European Cup contest.
The organisers have change the dates to be one week later than in the MAsters Calendar. 25 -27. May 2008.
This time we are also invited to a fencing tournement on sunday after the MP and MT competition.
I sugest that the organisers in fencing will follow a Nordic idea for veteran fencing.
A handicap of 1 touche pr 10 years in age difference between two fencers in a 5 touche match.
To 15 touche it gives a handicap of 3 pr 10 years.
Fencing in agegroups could also be a possibility.: 40-49, 50-59, 60 - like at the FIE WC for veterans.
Personally I am very sorry to hear about the changes of the dates.
I am the organiser of a Cup-competition in Modern Pentahtlon/Tetrathlon for all agegroups incl. Masters in my fencing/pentathlon club in the same weekend,.
So at the moment I will not be able to participate in Pécs.
World Masters Championship in Ukraine.
We have asked the Ukrainian organisers to give us the costs for accomodation and starting fee before 1st April.
From UIPM I have today received the information, that the competition will take place as announced . See the program I send you 2 weeks ago.
The social events and sightseeings as tourist will also be top organised.
We look forward to have all details from Ukraine within 14.days.

MODERN PENTATHLON NEWS (21 March 2008) Dutch Open/Coubertin Cup: registration now open The Dutch Open in Modern Pentathlon on 19-20 April will take place in a spectacular location. After the events in Doorn, at Maarsbergen Estate and Bosuil Estate, the now pending UIPM-recognized pentathlon event will be organized at and around Bernhard Barracks in Amersfoort, The Netherlands. Modern Pentathlon consists of: 1. running: 2 or 3 km (distance depending on age category); 2. swimming: 100 or 200m free-style (distance depending on age category); 3. shooting: 20 shots with an air pistol at 10 m distance; 4. fencing: approximately 30 bouts on epée for one decisive hit (victoire); 5. riding: 12 obstacles at ≥90 cm on a drawn horse *). The Dutch Open is highlighted by the reinstatement of the Coubertin Cup, which was originally issued by Baron van Tuyll van Serooskerken, first President of the Netherlands Olympic Committee, at the first pentathlon event in The Netherlands in 1916. The Coubertin Cup will be awarded to the best pentathlete (male/female, junior/senior) with the highest score (minimum 5.000 pentathlon points) at the Dutch Open. The winner will receive an official certificate and be noted in the registers and on the website of the Dutch Pentathlon Federation. For Masters, the Dutch Open counts as a European Cup Competition. Participants can also obtain the Netherlands Pentathlon Cross at the Dutch Open. Because of the historic context and the reinstatement of the Coubertin Cup, the Dutch Open is organized at MRC Marcroix in Amersfoort, where the Dutch Cham-pionships were organized from 1918 until the departure of General Charles Pahud de Mortanges (one of the most successful Olympic equestrians in history, with his horse Marcroix) as President of the Netherlands Pentathlon Federation in 1963. Program The Dutch Open is organized over the course of two days: ¨ 19 April 2008 08:00-18:00 (Saturday): shooting, running and swimming; ¨ 20 April 2008 08:00-16:30 (Sunday): fencing and riding. On Friday evening 18 April, participants are welcomed to reception and dinner at a spectacular location in Amersfoort. A special hotel package is offered for Friday and/or Saturday night (€65-€115 per room per night, including breakfast). Rooms are limited and open to reservation by local and international athletes. On Sunday afternoon 20 April, the new combined UIPM running + shooting event (as in biathlon) is organized as an optional extra. This new event is designed as an innovation with the objective to make Modern Pentathlon more exciting and attractive for participants, spectators and media. Erhöhung der Startgebühren und Meldeterminfür die EM in Sümeg
Liebe Masters !
Leider muss ich über eine unerfreuliche Sache der EM Sümeg 2007 berichten, was mich reichlich beschäftigt und angeknickt hat.
Wir haben die EM Ausführung so kalkuliert,dass die Meldegelder nur einen kleinen Teil der Vewaltungskosten abdecken in Grösstenteilden Hotel mit Verplegung decken, wie bei der anderen grösseren Wettkämpfen üblich sind.
Die übrigen reine Veranstaltungskosten, die Kosten verursachen, wollten wir durch Sponsorengelder finanzieren.
Diesen Plan haben wir bis heute verefolgt und waren sicher, dass es ein Erfog wird.
Leider sind die folgenden Tatscahen passiert, die uns zwingen von diesen Plan abzurücken:
1. Bei der Hotelkalkulation im Januar 2007 war die ungarische Währung Forint
1 EUR = 260 Forint.Leider ist der Forint stärker geworden, weil 1 EUR =235 Forint wert ist.
Was wir beim Meldegeld für die Wettkampfausrichtung geplant haben, ist durch diese Währungsschwankung ( mindestens ,1.500 EUR ) weggefallen.
2. Wir haben von 5 Sponsoren die feste Zusage im Februar 2007 für die Wettkampfunterstützung gehabt.
Von diesen 5 Sponsoren haben sich nur 2 an Ihre gegebenes Wort gehalten, die übrigen 3 geben kein Unterstützung.
Wir haben von weiteren Organisationen/Geschäften/ Unternehmern versucht, finanzielle Mittel zu bekommen, meist erfolgslos.
Die Stadt Sümeg will diese EM unbedingt veranstalten.Um diese EM veranstalten zu können müssten wir – als letzter Ausweg - für die Wettkämpfer eine Ausrichtungspauschale erheben:
Bei der 5 Kampf Staffel um 15 EUR mehr, statt 100 EUR jetzt 115 EUR pro Person
Beim 5kampf/Einzel um 85 EUR mehr, statt 180 EUR jetzt 270 EUR pro Person
Beim 4kampf um 70 EUR mehr, statt 160 EUR jetzt 230 EUR pro Person
Bei der4kampf Staffel um 15 EUR mehr, sattat 70 EUR jetzt 85 EUR pro Person.
Mir ist sehr unwohl bei dieser Massnahme,aber leider sehe ich keinen andere Weg , den Wettkampf auszurichten.Diese Bananen-Republik Mentalität,die zur Zeit in Ungarn herrscht, ist fürterlich: Rücktritt von Sponsoren, scheinheilige Ausreden.
Wegen dieser Massnahme müssen wir einen C- Meldetermin einrichten.
Jedem ist freigestellt, ob er an diesem Wettkampf mit der veränderten Meldegebühr teilnimmt.
Bitte unbedingt den C-Meldetermin vom 10.05.2007 einhalten!!!!!!!
